To promote peace through mutual respect, cultural understanding by focusing on youth development, education, friendship and humanitarian assistance.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our friend and past Sister City member Carolina Rocha on April 14, 2012. As part of our organization, she participated in a number of our community and fundraising activities including turnaround trips and volunteer events. She was also a part of our Youth Delegation in our 2004 visitation to sister city Gomez-Palacio.
Carolina is well remembered among our members for her bright and warm personality and her friendship. We appreciate the time she spent with our organization and our condolences go out to her family and those close to her.
For those interested in attending her services, Mass will be conducted on Saturday, April 21st at Epiphany Catholic Church (10915 Michael Hunt Drive, South El Monte, CA 91733) at 8:30am. This will be followed by Burial Services at Green Acres Memorial Park & Mortuary (11715 Cedar Ave, Bloomington, CA 92316).
It’s been awhile since we’ve posted, but we’ve been actively busy, especially with our growing Youth Group. We’ll have more updates in our photo gallery soon as well as news about upcoming events and activities. In the mean time, here are a few photos of our recent events.
